Nameplates for urn burial plots

Standardized Urn Plaques for Communal Burial Plots

We manufacture urn plaques for small and large gravesites, either custom-made or in series. Our designs are conceived so that they can be easily mounted on steles or headstones. We place particular emphasis on ensuring that all plaques within a gravesite blend together to create a harmonious overall appearance.

We’d be happy to color our panels according to your preferences.

Design of Urn Plaques

We have an extensive collection of designs that have already been implemented. Rectangular panels with partially customized motifs are a classic choice, but floral and organic shapes are also very popular.

In addition, we work with you to develop custom designs where you can freely choose the size, shape, and color scheme.

Modern Designs for Urn Burial Plots

We are all facing changes in cemetery culture, which are currently often resulting in hastily planned, space-saving communal burial plots.

To ensure that our cemeteries remain places of community—places that invite people to linger and provide bereaved families with the space they need to grieve—it is important that we take an active role in shaping the cemetery once again. We hope that these images will be helpful to you in your discussions with your cemetery administrations.

In our latest brochure, “Modern Designs for Urn Burial Plots,” we’ve compiled many practical suggestions for what communal burial plots can look like today. We’d be happy to send you a printed copy so that you can actively engage with your cemetery administration.

Consistent production of the panels over decades

Once a design for a series of urn plaques has been created, we archive all necessary information and models to ensure consistent reproducibility over long periods of time. In doing so, we pay attention not only to the size and material of the plaque, but also to consistently and accurately reproducing the specific layout, font, and patina. Our meticulous processes and the ongoing availability of the necessary materials and information ensure this quality even decades later.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Welche Schriftarten gibt es?

We manufacture our affordable nameplates with the number 95150 exclusively using the 10005 Helvetica font.

We produce labeled sheets exclusively using the “Free” or “Mira” fonts.

For all other nameplates, you can choose from the fonts “Antiqua,” “Helvetica,” “Optima,” and “English.”

For cut-out letters, you can choose between the “Helga Braun” and “Janet Raven” fonts.

Other fonts are also available upon request. Please feel free to contact us about this.

Ich brauche in 10 oder mehr Jahren nochmal eine passende Tafel. Ist das möglich?

Yes, that’s possible. However, it’s important that you let us know when you order the first sign that additional orders for this facility will follow. Only then can we ensure that the sign’s layout allows for both shorter and longer names.

If we know that it is an urn burial plot, we will also immediately provide you with a unique order number for your urn burial plot. This way, you can be sure that all the plaques will match in size, layout, font, and color.

Welche Größen gibt es?

You decide on the size of the urn plaque. Starting at 4 x 8 cm, we can custom-make any size you can imagine.

The only limitations are the amount of text or the design you choose. We place great importance on ensuring that the finished plaque is easy to read and that all decorative elements are clearly visible.

We can only supply leaves and nameplates with embossed designs in the specified sizes.

Welche Formen und Ausführungen empfehlen Sie?

Rectangular nameplates, with or without a border, are the classic choice. But there are many other options available as well. Whether oval, curved, star-shaped, or heart-shaped, we offer a wide variety of designs.

Sculpted leaves with delicate inscriptions are very popular for urn gravesites. But we’re also happy to work with you to create a design specifically for your gravesite. Do your customers want a butterfly, a heart, or a special geometric shape? No problem! We’ll bring your ideas to life.

Welche Schriftgrößen sind möglich?

The possible font size depends on the font, the manufacturing technique, and, in particular, whether lowercase letters are to be used in addition to uppercase letters. We would be happy to advise you on the optimal font size for your specific situation.

Wie dick ist die Tafel/Beschriftung?

Most of our nameplates are about 6 mm thick, with lettering that is approximately 1 millimeter thick.

Welche Motive bieten Sie an?

You can find our standard designs in Catalog No. 50 on pages 168–173. We’d be happy to provide additional designs from our repertoire upon request.

In addition, on pages 162, 163, and 167 of the same catalog, you will find modeled designs, which are, however, only available on these plates.

Of course, we also create custom designs that commemorate the life and legacy of the deceased. Please feel free to contact us about this or send us a design proposal.

Können Sie auch individuelle Motive fertigen?

Yes.

We custom-make each nameplate. Of course, we can accommodate your specific requests.

Ich suche eine Ergänzung für eine bestehende Gemeinschaftsgrabanlage. Können Sie mir helfen?

Of course. Just send us a photo of your existing system—ideally a close-up of a few panels and a picture showing as many panels as possible. We’ll check whether the existing panels were manufactured by us or if we can offer you something comparable. We’ll then provide you with a quote and, if needed, a design proposal.

Welche Farben bieten Sie an?

If you do not specify otherwise, we will deliver the plaques in our special finish, described as “bronze-brown with a textured varnish.” To match existing urn burial sites, we also offer the more classic finish described as “dark, with a light-colored, worn surface.”

In addition, almost anything you can imagine is possible. For example, we can paint name plaques in the shape of leaves in all the colors of autumn, or provide a variety of coordinating color schemes for a unique grave site.

You can find a small selection of our color schemes at www.plein.de/farbtafeln.

Can you also print photos on the boards?

We place great importance on a long-lasting, high-quality appearance. That’s why printed images that fade in sunlight after just a few years are out of the question for us.

Our products are designed to support the grieving process for as long as the bereaved need them—and even longer, if desired. That’s why we use durable photo ceramics that also impress with their exceptional image quality. Combined with a bronze plaque, you’ll receive a particularly high-quality and durable name plaque.

Alternatively, we also offer laser-engraved portraits and designs based on photos.

Another option is sculpted portrait reliefs made of bronze or aluminum. These can, of course, also be supplemented with text or cast as a plaque.

Can a name be added later?

It depends on the type of plaque you have. For plaques with raised lettering, this is possible if there is enough space on the plaque. For engraved plaques and plaques with very small letters, however, it is usually not possible to add a name.

How are the panels attached?

The vast majority of our nameplates are mounted using threaded pins on the back. However, you can also order them with mounting holes drilled on the side or in the center. We’re also happy to provide rosettes upon request.
