At the Plein Art Foundry, you’ll learn a traditional craft in which precision, experience, and responsibility play a major role. You’ll work with bronze and other metals and be involved in the production of art objects and architectural elements.

What does a metal and bell foundry do?

As a metal and bell foundry worker, you produce large and complex castings. This includes making molds, melting and casting metals, and carefully finishing the workpieces.

For us, that means:

Manufacturing and Preparing Casting Molds
Melting and Casting Bronze and Other Metals
Post-processing and inspection of cast parts
Demolding, Cleaning, and Finishing the Castings
Collaboration on projects in the fields of art, architecture, and historic preservation

Metal and bell foundry workers are skilled professionals in metalworking: They produce castings and oversee the entire manufacturing process—from preparing the molds and patterns to melting and casting the metal, through to finishing and quality control. In doing so, they practice a traditional craft and always pay close attention to dimensional accuracy, material properties, and safety regulations.

At our company, the metal and bell casters are the heart of production. They ensure that high-quality works of art are created from molten metal, coordinate closely with management and the subsequent production steps, and keep a close eye on the entire casting process—to ensure that our products meet the highest standards.
