Works of art, sculptures, and fountains made of bronze and other metals are timeless witnesses to our history, yet even they are not spared the effects of time. Especially in public spaces, they are exposed to weather and environmental factors that can damage their surface and compromise their stability. To ensure that these works retain their beauty and expressive power, professional restoration is essential.

Extensive restoration options

In our specialized workshops, we have a wide range of capabilities for professionally restoring and repairing works of art. With our “mobile workshop,” we can also perform minor repairs right at your location.

We not only perform traditional restoration work, but also offer additional services related to the preservation of metal art:

Reconstruction of missing parts through supplementary modeling and completion
Production of replicas in cases where the original needs to be preserved.
Molds for protecting valuable objects
Re-polishing to restore or adjust the color.

A crust of copper sulfate, copper oxide, and dirt covers old solder joints and areas with pitting corrosion.
Layers of oxide and dirt are carefully removed, and individual small pitting areas are repaired. The metal surface is now exposed.
After applying a supplementary patina to the repaired or damaged areas, the item is treated with an acid-free, microcrystalline wax.
A newly cast bronze replica can replace the original to protect it. It can also be displayed elsewhere as a memento.

This type of restoration is very gentle, but it must be repeated approximately every 30 to 60 years, depending on the environment.
