Bronze and Aluminum Casting

The production of cast letters involves a precise, artisanal process that requires great attention to detail. Based on the design, the model—usually made of clay or wax—is sculpted by hand or designed in three dimensions on a computer.

Next comes the molding process, in which the model is embedded in molding sand. After heating, the molten metal is poured into the mold and allowed to cool. Once cooled, the sprues formed during casting are carefully removed to give the letter its final shape.

In the next step, the letters are carefully worked to bring out details and textures that give the metal a lifelike quality. If necessary, threaded holes are drilled so that the letters can be securely mounted later. The metal is then colored to give it its distinctive look. A final coat of special clear varnish ensures that the metal retains its like-new appearance for many years.

To ensure secure fastening, the letters are fitted with threaded pins on the back. A drilling template created specifically for your application makes subsequent installation easier. After passing quality control, they are carefully packaged and finally prepared for shipment.
