Metal inlays
Precise Accents for Architecture and Building Culture
Design with an Eye for Detail
Metal inlays made of stainless steel, brass, and bronze are high-quality decorative elements that are flush-mounted in natural stone, engineered stone, cast stone, or similar hard surfaces. They create a durable, elegant design and combine precision craftsmanship with architectural clarity.
In the construction and commercial sectors, metal inlays are used strategically to provide wayfinding, convey a sense of identity, or subtly highlight architectural details —they are durable, low-maintenance, and tailored to the material.

Design Options with Metal Inlays
Metal inlays offer a wide range of applications in architecture. Depending on the material, shape, and surface finish, they can appear subtly integrated or serve as deliberate accents.
Typical applications include:
- Logos, Symbols, and Typography
- Logos, emblems, and graphic elements
- Lines, Ornaments, and Grid Structures
- Markings, Wayfinding Systems, and Floor Inlays
- Artistic Details as Part of Art in Architecture
The elements can be manufactured individually or in series and precisely tailored to the specific architectural concept.
Materials – Effect and Character
We offer three tried-and-true materials for our metal inlays:
All materials are suitable for long-term use both indoors and outdoors.
Precise Manufacturing & Planning Reliability
Our metal inlays are manufactured with a specified material thickness of 2 mm and feature precisely crafted outer contours.
Production is carried out:
- based on your digital files (e.g., CAD, graphics, or font files)
- or based on fonts and motif series we have developed ourselves
This ensures high dimensional accuracy, clean edges, and reliable integration into the respective surface—a crucial factor for installation on the construction site.
Upon request, we can also design motif series and ornaments specifically for your application.
Integration into Stone and Building Surfaces
For flush installation, a precisely fitted recess is created in the respective material and filled with a polymer-based elastic adhesive.
You or your contractor can carry out the precise preparation of the excavation as follows:
- by milling based on the digital data provided
- or using appropriate sandblasting films, which we can supply on a project-by-project basis upon request
The recess is precisely tailored to the contour of the inlay and features a defined border all around. Once the inlay is set, the metal surface and the polymer adhesive align cleanly and smoothly with the stone—without any protruding edges or visual disruption.
Applications in the Construction Sector
Metal inlays are used in numerous areas of construction and architecture, including:
- Facades, basements, and entrance areas
- Floor slabs, staircases, and open spaces
- Wayfinding systems, markings, and signage
- Residential and Commercial Construction
- Educational, Cultural, and Administrative Buildings
- Art in Architecture and Artistic Interventions
- Monuments, memorial sites, and public spaces
Thanks to their high-quality materials and precise craftsmanship, metal inlays are durable, weather-resistant, robust, and low-maintenance —even with heavy use and in demanding environmental conditions.

Order samples and try them out
Would you like to try it out for yourself? No problem—we’d be happy to provide you with a sample in the metal of your choice with sandblasted foil. That way, you can try inserting the inlays yourself and see the effect in the material you’ve chosen in person.
